| Introduction
We often hear that I.T world is very competitive and if you do not keep up with the pace it can be a very tough place . So during the COVID-19 pandemic my college Charotar University Of Science and Technology motivated us to take up summer internships and get a feel of how it is to work in a real I.T company. I was able to secure internship in Navpad Infotech(http://www.navpadinfotech.com/) . Under the guidance of Nirmit sir I learnt a lot , got to realize how different it is to theoretically learn something in college and then implement it in real life. As a part of our final submission we created a service providing web application — SKYNET.

What is Skynet?
Skynet is a service providing web application that can be used to leverage services like carpenters,plumbers,electricians,home cleaners,ac servicing. It is basically a network of local experienced service providers providing customers a suite of service providers to choose from hassle free.
How we came up with the idea of Skynet?
Over the years we have observed that getting anything repaired even if it as silly as a squeaky door ,leaky tap takes a lot of time and a lot of effort.Even if you are able to secure the service of a handyman it may happen that he may overcharge for the service.Platforms like urbanclap provide service but its mainly available in metro cities only ,so people living in suburban cities are deprived of its service.So we thought why not come up with a web application that will solve both the problems .

| Learning Outcome
I always heard that during an engineers undergraduate years internships are very important and after completing my internship i finally realized the importance of internships. I learned many soft skills and I.T skills. I got to know about the difference between current market trends and what we learn in classroom,how difficult and different it is to implement a real life project even though the project is a big of collection of things we are taught in classroom.
I explored many new technologies like powerbi,visual studio ,asp.net.Got to know how to maintain a database ,how to check if a user has already registered onto the website ,how to allow a user to register with a particular email or mobile number only once.Got to know about MIT license , master page, SQL injection, difference between alpha and beta versions , testing softwares like Selenium, Testingwhiz.
Not only did i learn new I.T skills but also soft skills like how to work in a team,co-ordinate with team members. Till now I had created 2 android apps as a part of submission for sgp projects and never created a website but my group members were inclined towards creating a website so i had to get out of my comfort zone and try creating a web application.Cope with the pressure of deadline,learn time management.
Overall it was a great experience and i feel satisfied to have utilized my time during the covid-19 pandemic.
